We run the four cruises as a small operation. Burak and Ezgi handle bookings and dispatch; Captain Orhan speaks for the three public cruises; Captain Nazım speaks for Private Yacht. All weather-related decisions come from the captains. All booking decisions come from Burak. No chatbots, no resellers, no outsourced call centres.

Email is the primary channel.
For anything that benefits from being written down — rescheduling, group inquiries, refund requests, private yacht customisation, accessibility arrangements, invoices, weather concerns. Email gives both sides time to think and a paper trail afterwards. For same-day emergencies (running late to the pier, stuck in traffic, missing confirmation), WhatsApp is the right call.
If your cruise departs in the next 90 minutes and something's wrong — traffic, missing email, wrong pier — WhatsApp is faster than email. Ezgi at Kabataş or Kerem at Eminönü will have eyes on their phone.

Transparency about scope saves everyone time. Our remit is the four cruises we run; outside it, we point you to better resources rather than pretend.
We can help with
Booking changes & rescheduling. Date, cruise type, guest count. Free until 2 hours before departure; subject to availability.
Refund requests. Automatic more than 24 hours out; case-by-case inside that window with human judgement.
Pre-booking advice. "I have 6 guests, a proposal, and a budget of €500" — Burak will write back with a specific plan, not a generic response.
Private yacht customisation. Music, route, special-occasion choreography, captain silence at chosen landmarks. Any reasonable request — note that food, flowers and photography are arranged through your own vendors, not resold by us.
Weather rescheduling. Proactive messaging when forecasts look hostile to the cruise type you booked. Free date changes, no argument.
Accessibility arrangements. Wheelchair, mobility concerns, dietary restrictions, family with small children. Email 24h ahead for seating.
Language requests. Audio guide available in 8 languages; host support in English, Turkish, French, Spanish, German, Arabic.
Group & corporate bookings. Group discounts from 10 guests. Full-boat private charters. Corporate event coordination.
Invoices & VAT receipts. Proper Turkish fatura with our VAT number for business reimbursement.
Complaints & feedback. Good, bad, balanced. Every message read by a real human; critical feedback shapes our next-quarter planning.
We can't help with
Tickets bought elsewhere. GetYourGuide, Viator, Klook, and hotel concierge packages have their own refund policies; we don't have access to those bookings.
Other operators' cruises. Several companies run Bosphorus cruises with similar names — we only represent our own four. For other operators, contact them directly.
Public Şehir Hatları ferries. The Istanbul city ferries are a municipal service; we don't book them or handle their refunds. Use their app or buy an İstanbulkart.
Weather guarantees. We're proactive about rescheduling when forecasts look bad, but we can't promise specific light or calm water for any given evening. Nature is nature.
Hotel pickup, transfer tours, dinner-plus-show packages. Not our operation. For organised Istanbul tours, dedicated operators do better than we would.
Same-day wedding/event planning. Private yacht weddings need 14+ days. We've had guests request two-day turnarounds; the answer is usually no, regretfully.
Custom dinner menus below €2000 budget. Our chef works with catering minimums. For smaller bespoke dinners, the Dinner Cruise's set menu is genuinely excellent.
Translations of Rumi poetry. Irrelevant, we know, but people ask. Try the Whirling Dervish support team; they have opinions.

Four windows. The private yacht has a slightly longer cancellation window because the captain commits to your block in advance and can't easily resell it.

Reschedule free if future slot available. Refund case-by-case — illness, flight delay, documented emergency usually result in full refund.

Last-minute
40% refund. Private yacht no-show: 0% (captain paid, boat prepared). Rescheduling possible if capacity exists.
The flip side: if we cancel (Coast Guard, weather, captain illness), full refund within 48 hours automatically, plus a goodwill credit. Weather-driven rescheduling doesn't count as our cancellation — you chose the reschedule, not forced.
The weather pledge
If the forecast turns, we move you — proactively.
We watch the 72-hour forecast daily for every scheduled cruise. When conditions look likely to ruin the experience we're selling (not just routine weather), we message you ahead of time with a free reschedule option. You choose to accept or press on.
This isn't a refund policy — it's an experience promise. Sunset in 80% cloud cover is not a sunset; Daytime in heavy rain is not sightseeing. We'd rather move you than disappoint you.

A licensed small operator, not a reseller.
Istanbul Tourist Information Ltd is a TÜRSAB-licensed travel agency, registered in Sultanahmet, trading since 2016. We own and operate the four Bosphorus cruises directly — the boats, the crew, the scheduling. We do not resell any third-party cruises; we do not accept affiliate commission from partners.
Our captains hold Turkish Coast Guard licences. Our boats are annually inspected by the Ministry of Transport. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see your card number. Correspondence handled in six languages across the team.
For formal complaints or dispute escalation, TÜRSAB maintains an independent channel. Details on request.
